One of the popular restaurants in NOLA is @pechenola with their modern twist on the local cuisine. My favorites from this meal were the crab capellini appetizer and the glazed turnips. Overall pretty good but it did feel similar to dining in NYC. A little pricey as well.

On every trip I save the most anticipated restaurant for my last dinner. Peche was it this time- already on my list prior to arriving in New Orleans but further validated by many locals I encountered throughout my time, and I can now see why. It's an elevated atmosphere in there, but no-frills or pretension. Service is excellent and attentive. The food was fantastic- my server's recommendations did not miss. I'd never think to opt for what I thought was a simple smoked tuna dip (served with plain Saltine crackers) but it was perfection and probably one of my favorite parts of the meal. All oysters were delectable (for 1/2 dozen you can opt to get 2 each of 3 choices) as was the crab pasta recommendation off the specials menu. And I of course had to try the seafood gumbo here. Dessert also at the recommendation of staff was the peanut butter pie; I opted for this along with the suggested Amaro Averna pairing and it was THE perfect way to end not only the night but a wonderful solo trip to NOLA.

I was recommended this place from a local and it was the best food I had in NOLA. The vibe was right and the drinks were made to perfection. I ordered jumbo shrimp with this amazing sushi rice fried cake for a side. The taste of these items was divine. I will definitely be back.

One of my greatest pleasures is to be able to come to New Orleans and partake.... not as in partaking on Bourbon St but savoring the evolved Creole/Cajun/Southern flavors in New Orleanian restos like Pêche. This time simple flavors and seafood gumbo were on my list. It's an appetizer portion of a subtle seafood stock where the roux is curry brown and delicious--And the OKRA---- [sooft and velvety] gives this gumbo a distinct character I've not had in any gumbo. I love down home creole gumbo too and after a few visits here this gumbo's understated sophistication is my new goto in a seafood gumbo. Also this time I was craving lots of seafood so I got the raw platter which easily feeds 2. Luckily my hotel had a fridge so none went to waste. The smoked tuna and saltines were so good, I wolfed down the dish. The peel and eat were juicy and tasty. I couldn't help but dip them in the 3 sauces for the oysters. Service was friendly and helpful, in a New Orleans kind of vibe, and was served at the bar this time--totally enjoyed my experience with the bartenders. This is my fifth time at Pêche and I seem to not tire of it. Will be back. End of Yelp.

This restaurant was recommended to us by two different friends (who don't know each other). As a result, we were excited to try it and it didn't disappoint. In fact, in the six days we were in New Orleans, we ate here twice (and it was the only place we repeated at). We tried virtually 50% of the menu and it was all terrific: great flavors with excellent execution. Our favorites were probably the kale salad (which was the only dish I think we ordered twice) and the spicy ground shrimp and noodles. If we came again, we'd order the whole fish entree; and we will definitely come again.

Went with family members on a Saturday evening. Super casual place downtown. My catfish dish was quite interesting considering it was fried catfish in a broth. Plus it seemed to be fried in cornmeal in which I'm not a fan of. The grilled chicken was pretty good. Nothing extraordinary. Service was on point. Menu was just a little "fancy" for my liking. Lol

Food was really good! We ordered Gumbo, Spicy Ground Shrimp noodles (we recommended by many) and a fish dish with some orzo salad and some potatoes with Cajun spice. The Gumbo was a 4/5 for me - it was lukewarm at most but the flavor was pretty good. The shrimp noodles were pretty good. Extremely different but super tasty. The noodles were amazing too. Cooked perfectly. The fish had a great flavor but was a bit over cooked and the orzo salad was very tasty and refreshing. Highly recommend getting the potatoes. They were suggested as a plate to share from the waiter. Really tasty. The highlight of the night was without a doubt the dessert! Omg it was SO GOOD! (salted peanut pie) Our waitress said it was her favorite thing on the menu and it was definitely WORTH IT. SUPER TASTY and not overly sweet. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I have to say that the service was slow. We got one waiter at the beginning and towards the end, the waiter got a big party and without saying anything we got a new waitress. She was lovely so no complaints, but it was strange. Seems like they were understaffed? But we are visiting so I'm not sure if that's just how they do business. Also worth pointing out the place is quite loud so if you are not into that, take this into consideration. Overall, pretty good experience and good food.

Delicious with a great vibe!! Came with a group of six so we ordered many dishes to share. Definitely had to get the whole red fish as our main entree along with the skirt steak. Also ordered pretty much all the roasted veggies on the menu (beets, carrots, squash, turnip), the kale salad, ceviche, grilled tuna, and I'm missing some things I'm sure. There wasn't a bad dish and all the flavors were unique, cohesive, and delicious. This was a wonderful choice for a first meal while in New Orleans and definitely set the bar high!!

This place was really pleasant surprise on a recent trip to Nola. Seafood menu. The hushpuppies were the star of the meal for me!! Service was good and a knowledgeable waitress attended to us. Fish was excellent as well. Good atmosphere.

Pêche is the perfect place to share plates. The salsa verde on the fish was AMAZING! Smoked tuna dip served with Saltine Crackers was gone before we ordered our meal. Highly recommended. Not pictured: freshly shucked oysters
